RANDOM TIP: If you’re in Bounty Mode in your Titan and scrambling to get to your Dropship for the Evac, do an Ejection to get a good vertical jump. It’s also probably one of the simpler ARs to master since killing effectively usually means holding down the trigger until and following your opponent with the reticle until he dies. Since all Assault Rifles have the same range, the R-201 is on equal footing with them. Some ARs may have higher damage, or a larger magazine, but the R-201 has a great mixture of high accuracy, high fire rate and a good magazine size and damage. Locations, weapons, and characters that appeared in Titanfall and Titanfall 2 also appear in Apex Legends.However, the connections between Titanfall and Apex run much deeper than simple cameos and references. The R-201 Carbine is a great, well-rounded Assault Rifle. Its widely known that Apex Legends takes place in the same universe as the Titanfall franchise. Differing only in their appearance, both rifles have exactly the same stats (as of this writing). I would be remiss if I did not include the R-201/R-101 Carbines. But quick moves and a calm head will keep you killing. Excelling more at distance but competent at close range, you will find yourself outclassed in close distances by SMGs, Shotguns and Assault Rifles. Other weapons might blend in with AI weapon fire in modes that have AI troops, but Devotion’s sound is a dead giveaway. Devotion is an enemy magnet since the sound when firing is very recognizable. With a great damage per bullet, you will take out Pilots even before Devotion ramps up her speed. Many pilots that try this excellent LMG become devoted to using it. Flatline’s magazine is larger than other assault rifles and although its fire rate is not the highest, its damage is higher than those faster firing Automatic ARs. Of course, the Flatline is great close up and a medium distance. The V-47 Flatline is another primary that’s great at many ranges, although with its side-to-side recoil it is at a disadvantage at long range, making it more difficult to finish off that kill. Hemlok’s 3-rtound burst is a killer at medium and long ranges.
#TITANFALL 2 WEAPONS FULL#
With a 3-round burst close range fighting is more competent than with a full semi-auto rifle like the G2A5. The Hemlok has a great combination of distance killing ability and some powerful shots for closer range as well. I’ll start off with the Hemlok BF-R because it’s one of my favorite primaries. This rules out Sniper Rifles because I demand close quarters mobility. CAR SMG This SMG is one of the most balanced yet powerful weapons in the game. This rules out Shotguns because I demand more range. Here are the guns in Titanfall 2 that have remained on top, even after all the meta’s swings.
What I aim for are primaries that are great at medium range, and can hold their own in close distance and long range. I realize this is a highly opinion-based post – but let’s get on with it! In Titanfall 2, I demand primaries that work well at all ranges but obviously, no primary will dominate at all ranges.
